As an important member of the Operations team, the successful candidate will be based in Regina, SK and be responsible for creating a high level of competency (through coaching and mentoring) among assigned mixed and retail store associates, to secure established market share for Commercial products in the Saskatchewan region by:

 

  • Coach Store Managers on established and effective sales techniques to drive store location revenue. This includes:
  • Preparing sales plans for the store and sales associates as directed by Operations or Store Manager.
  • Establishing pre-solicitation schedules for customers in the market, and submitting results to Operations.
  • Conducting effective sales calls with the Store Manager and sales associates.
  • Completing customer identification and potential, and analyses on the market quarterly, and submit to Operations. 
  • Along with Goodyear, prepare and conduct Medium Truck Product training to all sales Associates in Mixed Stores in their assigned territory. Assist with in store product and sales training. 
  • Lead the preparation and organization of initial and follow up solicitation plans for assigned small CFA accounts. 
  • Complete actual sales input into Fountain Tire systems to ensure forecasts for light truck, medium truck and OTR tires for stores in assigned territory are being met. 
  • Build and maintain required reporting to identify budget shortfalls and plans to achieve budgeted numbers for assigned store locations.
  • Assist in the AR collection process on small CFA accounts. 
  • Travel to store locations to meet with Store Managers and sales associates.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business and 5 years of sales experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 5 years experience in the tire or trucking industry
  • Knowledge of effective coaching and sales techniques.
  • Knowledge of the trucking or commercial tire industry
  • Proven ability to effectively coach and work within a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills required to gather information, resolve issues and evaluate possible solutions
  • Organizational and time management skills in order to prioritize numerous projects and competing demands 
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and customers; this includes excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present information to customers
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs 
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends, and travel to various locations as required. 
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license from province of residence.
